Yesterday was the first day at my new job (demonstrating products at Wal-Mart) and it went very well. I think I’m really going to enjoy it. I was so nervous about it, that I slept very little the night before and when I got there, I wasn’t sure where to go or what to do, but the district supervisor had arranged for a nice lady to meet me at the customer service area and show me the ropes when I arrived. She was a great help to me, and so nice too – my nerves were immediately settled when I met her – and I believe we have become good friends after working together all day, which is always nice too.

My poor little weak ankles hurt pretty bad by the time I left, but it’s only because I’m not used to standing all day. Hopefully, I’ll adjust to it soon and they won’t hurt so bad.

All in all, I’m very happy with this new job and I hope they will soon give me more than just one or two days a week.

Hey Kelly, I’m glad to hear it is such a great start, I hope you’ll be just as enthusiastic after a week or two. So, what is it you’re demonstrating or is that secret?!

I just noticed you added a link to my page in your blogroll so thank you so much for that.

I look forward to your next update. BTW, do you know the social media policy of the marketing company you’re working for? I thought I should ask, the following fantastic blog post will explain the importance of this question and why my updated avatar includes a “free to tweet” message.

I’m sure you’ll be great Kelly and all will be fine. My son Eddy worked for them twice and enjoyed it a lot.

    Good Luck!

Real nice Kel, I’m glad you like it. My buddy Jason works at WM too, in the electronics dept and he like’s it as well. Best of luck. Oh, and it was A LOT easier to read.

Thanks Craig. I had some technical difficulties earlier this week when I was messing with my sidebar and it screwed up the whole blog. Glad you were able to read it this time.

I don’t actually work for Walmart, I work for a marketing company, but I have been assigned to the local Walmart. I’m the lady that hands out samples. It’s so fun, I get to interact with so many people. I just love this job, and it pays very well too!
