Work - Lawrenceburg TN 683

Me at work last Tuesday.

I’ve had a great few days off. My work week starts on Thursday and ends on Sunday, so Monday through Wednesday is what I consider my weekend. Tomorrow, I start my first full work week. I’m so excited!

Yesterday I began my online Food Safety Certification training. It will take me anywhere from 12 to 18 hours to finish it, and then I will go to Huntsville, AL for my test. Once I’m certified, I will get a $1 per hour raise and I’ll finally be able to do the fresh meat demos. That will be cool. People really like to try food samples, and it makes it so much easier to sell the product that way.

I have some very cool demos coming up this week, though. The kit for my Saturday demo hasn’t arrived yet. I sure hope it gets here before Saturday!

Soon, I’m also going to be getting into mystery shopping, auditing and merchandising . I just LOVE this kind of work! But I really need to get my car fixed, so I’ll have a dependable way around. The bike is ok, but when it rains, that is out of the question. Like tomorrow and Friday, Charlie will be working in the van, and it is supposed to rain both days, so I’ve had to make other arrangements, which is a pain in the patootey. Also, some of the best mystery shopping and auditing jobs are in neighboring towns, and I really need a car to do them. So, keeping my fingers crossed that I’ll be able to get the car fixed very soon.

I like Mystery Shopping. That’s fun! You get to walk around watching the staff who have no idea you’ll be making notes on their performance, and in my experience, you get reimbursed for the things you buy. For you it sounds like it’s part of the job so, it may work a little differently.
