Most little girls love to play kitchen set of toys. They love to play cooking games at an early age. Maybe because they can see their moms cooking everyday for their meals that’s why they are inspired to do the same in the near future. With the advance technology we had today, online games are all over the net. One of this is cooking games online. These games can be played by any kid at any age. As long as you have the passion for cooking as well as baking then you can try one.

Cooking Games For Girls

This game varies from baking a cake, designing a cake as well. There were also some burger made and sandwich made portions for several cooking games for girls and boys that you can play online. Ice cream parlor games can also be one of these cooking games as well as cookie and muffin or cup cake creations. With the excitement of designing such cookies and muffins you will be amazed that your kids will learn how to decorate such desserts in no time and with no mess. You can expect everything that kids love to eat. There were restaurant types of cooking games, where you need first to take the orders then cook them and serve them afterwards. In this kind of idea, kids are exposed in reality of serving food. Preparing food and serving them is one thing that kids will learn with these kinds of games.

There were also beverages on cooking games that can be explored by kids. From chocolate and strawberry flavors as well as other sweet flavors that kids can enjoy. With this type of free games, kids younger or below five years old can be familiar with so many types of food and beverages in the real world.

This online game can be an edge for those kids who aspire to be a chef and cook someday. With the familiarity of such apparatus as well as ingredients they will definitely learn some basic principles in cooking with cooking games.

With unattractive choices in meals and a busy lifestyle, it’s certainly not easy to eat healthy in this day and age. However, here are our top five exotic foods that taste exceptionally well and are also good for your health:

1. Sushi

The traditionally Japanese dish called sushi consists of all healthy ingredients, blending vinegar seasoned rice with a multitude of vegetables and seafood, as well as raw fish. The name of the dish stands for “vinegar rice” in the Japanese language, with “Su” being the word for vinegar while the second part, “Shi”, is a shortening of the Japanese word “Meshi”, which means “cooked rice”. Most people only think of raw fish when they hear the word sushi, especially when it comes to Americans, but that is not true. In reality only some types of sushi use raw fish as an ingredient, while other recipes can use vegetables, fruit, or even cooked fish. The only limit to what sushi can contain is that of the cook’s imagination.

2. Nasi  Goreng

Nasi Goreng is another exotic dish, popular especially in Indonesia and Malaysia. The basis of the dish consists of pre-cooked rice, garlic, shallot and the popular soy sauce, all garnished with a couple of spring onions. In preparing the meal the rice used is cooked before-hand and left to cool, which usually means using rice cooked a day earlier. When ordering this meal in restaurants, you can expect to also be served other items like fried chicken or eggs, satay, vegetables or kerupuk.

3. Spanish Paella

Combining a multitude of natural and healthy ingredients such as rice, chicken broth, garlic, red peppers, olive oil, chopped onions, tomatoes and a selection of either chicken or shellfish, this tasty dish originates from the country of Spain. Preparation is done by letting the garlic, along with leeks and tarragon simmer with the rice, vegetables and meat, all until the dish becomes a thick and delicious meal. The principles of Mediterranean food preparation are very evident in the making of Paella: not using salt as seasoning in favor of garlic or onions, using low fat olive oil as well as grains and lean proteins.

4. Greek Soulvaki (Meat Kabobs) with Salad

Preparing the exotic dish of Soulvaki means marinating chicken or lamb in olive oil, lemon juice and some garlic, all of which are sodium free. The meat is then grilled on a skewer with sliced onion and green bell peppers. The most common and healthy side dish for Soulvaki consists of rice flavored with turmeric, an anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory spice.  Served with the main dish is also the traditional Greek salad, a nutritious combination of black olives, cucumber, tomatoes, bell pepper, romaine lettuce and crumbled feta, a type of Greek cheese. Another common addition to a good Soulvaki is non-fat yogurt sauce, mint or dill flavored, that can be used as seasoning or dipping sauce.

5. Tamale

Cooking this Mexican dish involves stuffing a sweet or savory filling inside a corn dough and steaming it until firm. The dish is so popular in its native Mexico, it has almost 1000 variations on how it can be prepared, but the most common recipes include pork or chicken as the main meat of the filling, while adding green or red salsa or mole. There’s even the tamale de dulce, a sweet tamale cooked by using pink colored sugar in the dough and dry fruit such as raisins as filling.

International cuisine has lots of exotic dishes to offer, all using low-fat proteins and sodium free seasonings. If you’ve had the pleasure of enjoying the amazing flavor of any of these dishes in your little escapade to a far away country, you will certainly want to try recreating the taste of these exotic meals in your own kitchen. And if you haven’t traveled yet, that’s even more of a reason to try a new culinary experience.

Hi folks! Wow, I have really neglected this blog. My guest poster has posted more than I have in the last few months! At least somebody has been posting. (Thanks Ron!)

I’ve had a lot going on here and I’ve been extremely busy. My husband, Charlie had to have emergency gall bladder surgery on Christmas Day, so he has been out of work for the last month. It has been up to me to keep us afloat until he recovered. Not an easy task, but … we’re still here. He went back to work today. I just hope he was ready. It hasn’t quite been a month since the surgery, but he seems strong enough. I begged him not to overexert himself today, and hopefully he won’t. I’m just a big worry wart.

So, it’s lucky I have the two jobs because without the both of them, I really don’t know what we would have done. Work was very slow with both of them! But somehow, we pulled through this, just like we do everything else. Even though things may seem very bleak to me at times, we always seem to make our way through this world – usually unscathed.

Anyway, now that Charlie has gone back to work, I can hopefully free up some time to get back to writing here at the blog and some other places. I hope so, because I’ve really missed it.

Yep, recently, this site was hacked, and it has been down for 2 whole weeks. I finally got it up and running again this evening. Fortunately, I was able to salvage most of the posts that were here. You can now find them at the new Web Discoveries site.

This site will be reserved as my personal website.  If you would like to keep subscribing to Web Discoveries, please click here and that should get you set up. If you would like to keep up with what’s going on with me personally, feel free to subcribe now (if you’re not already)!

My roommate seems to get sick a lot when the weather is nice. By getting sick I mean that we call in sick to work and instead plan a day of nothing but fishing. It’s incredibly relaxing and we don’t have to go too far. About thirty minutes away is one of the biggest lakes in the state. If we wake up for our nine to five jobs at seven and it’s absolutely beautiful out we both work up the courage to call our bosses. I’m not quite sure if they have caught on to the fact that we use up almost all our sick days in the summer when it is sunny out. It’s a good thing we don’t work together or they would have figured it out a long time ago.

When the sun is shining and there’s just a light breeze we set the alarm that we got from one of the Adt dealers around san antonio and spend the day on the lake. We don’t have a boat but we set up our lawn chairs at a good spot in the shade but still warm enough for shorts. It doesn’t get warm in Michigan very often so youve really got to make the hot days count. There is a prize for catching the most fish and the biggest catch of the day. Each prize is twenty dollars. Usually each of us gets one so its a draw but on occasion one of us owes the other $40. Probably not a good idea to bet money since we called in to work that day.

Since I started working online a few months ago, my internet connection and how reliable my laptop is have become extremely important things to me. I have so many little jobs that I do online like filling out surveys, applying to participate in focus groups, and most recently writing articles for various websites. So my connection must be perfect and my clearwireless internet helps me feels confident that I’m connected and able to complete my work.

The surveys are sometimes really boring but often kind of fun and the money or points that I earn are a definite bonus. It’s nice to know there are a few sites that I have accounts on where I will eventually be able to withdraw some cash from and that I did not have to do much to be paid the money. Also, there are focus groups which are usually fairly enjoyable and pay a higher amount of money. I can sometimes make triple per hour than I did working in an office a few years ago.

My current concentration is on writing articles. I’ve always loved writing short stories and poetry and now having found the websites that pay for writing content, I am enjoying it even more. The internet has been so helpful in adding to my income and giving me things I like to do.

Hey y’all! This is the first video I have made where I am actually in it, so this is sort of my video debut. I made this mainly for my Twittaw friends, but I thought I’d share it here at the blog too. I have been hesitant about making a video of myself, because of my Southern drawl, but it is part of who I am, so go ahead and laugh if ya like. :P

Hey guys! Well, 2010 has finally rolled around. Can you believe it? I sure hope you all had a wonderful holiday season, and made many cool memories with your loved ones and friends. Frankly, The Browns are happy it’s over with – even though we did enjoy them, and it was nice to have some time off to relax – it’s just nice when things get back to normal.

The new year has finally arrived, but thinking back to this time last year,  it truly seems like only a few months ago. Ya know how when you’re a kid, your parents and grandparents say things that don’t make sense to you at the time, but then when you’re older it finally registers? Well, it has finally kicked in what my MawMaw was talking about when she said, “the older you get, the faster the years go by.” I swear each year seems to be getting shorter and shorter for me now. It kinda scares me, because I am now what you call “middle-aged” (ugh) and I fear the next half of my life will go by in the blink of an eye!

Anyway, nevermind that. I have other things to discuss here besides getting old. I don’t really like making New Year’s resolutions, because I never adhere to any of them anyway, so what is the point? But in 2010, I will try to set reasonable goals for myself, and hopefully, I will follow through and meet at least some of them. I won’t bore you to death by listing all of them here. I’ll just touch on the few that I want to share with you.

First, I want to get this blog rolling along, and post regularly, or at least semi-regularly. Now that I have a real job and I don’t live on the internet anymore, I need to be as productive as I can and make good use of what little time I have online. I want to connect and interact with other bloggers like I used to a few years ago. I ran across some very nice people back then. Most of them have moved on from my life, but there are still a few I keep in contact with at various social networks.

My goal is to get back to my blogging networks, (MyBlogLog, Technorati, BlogCatalog, etc.), and maybe even join a few new ones, like NetworkedBlogs at Facebook (which I joined yesterday). I intend to visit 5 to 15 blogs per day, (however many time allows), and leave a comment, but only when I have something relevant to say. This is a great way to find interesting writers. If you’ve never done this, you should try it, because you can meet some cool people this way, and you never know, you may even strike up some genuine friendships along the way. And besides that, it’s fun.

Back in 2007, I got distracted from networking with bloggers by trying different methods of making money online. Soon, my blogging friends were put on the back burner, and sadly, after a while, they became only a memory. After working my butt off for two years online, the recession hit, and I was forced to go out and get a real job – which, by the way, has turned out very well for me, so I am not complaining! Having this job has taken a world off my shoulders. It is not easy making money online. It can be very stressful and time-consuming, and I’m oh-so-happy to be doing something different. But I digress,

My point is that now, when I’m online, I don’t feel the constant need to be finding a money-making opportunity and I can actually enjoy the internet. And I can get back to blogging for fun again, and not blogging for money.  So that is what I’m going to do, because it makes me happy.

The next goal is an extremely important one. Diet. Last summer, I was informed that my cholesterol was dangerously high, so I had to make a drastic change in my diet. I thought it would be difficult for me, and I guess it was at first. But after a while, I adjusted and now I’m fine with it. Plus, I’m a few pounds lighter, so that’s nice too. My goal is to stick with this diet, and try to exercise everyday. Since the cold weather and holidays set in, I have slacked off on both diet and exercise, and I need to get more serious about it. My goal is to eat healthy, walk everyday, and try to get a gym membership soon, so I can get back in good shape.

Those are the few goals I wanted to share here. I may share more with you in a later post. But I’m sure you’re getting tired of reading, so I will end it here———->.

The media really had all of us Southern folks freaked out, warning us that we had an “arctic storm” headed our way. Just about all of Tennessee shut down in preparation of this event. I fully expected to wake up this morning and find the van buried in a snow drift. But, when I looked out the window, there was no snow! However, by the time I left for work, it had begun to snow. After a few hours, Charlie went out and got some cool shots. I love the ones of Jareth. He’s such a beautiful cat! Enjoy. :)

I thought seriously about writing a retrospective post about 2009 like Charlie did , but I decided, instead, to find out how my readers/friends plan to bring in the new year. I’m always curious about the social habits of others, so please, if you will, comment below and tell us what your New Year’s Eve plans are.

As for me and Charlie, we will be home watching movies, reading, or surfing the net for some interesting tidbit of information. That is what we do for fun. Yeah, I know…you may call it boring, but we find these daily (or nightly) activities very stimulating, even if it’s New Year’s Eve. :)

HAVE A SAFE AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!

AND PLEASE , if you plan to partake in the “spirits” tonight, HAVE A DESIGNATED DRIVER!
